Cormorant Boutique Hotel is La Jolla’s premier oceanfront retreat, perched above La Jolla Cove at 1110 Prospect Street. With roots dating to the 1940s—when the property served as the neighborhood’s original Prospect Market—the hotel underwent a complete top-to-bottom renovation and emerged as a modern coastal destination offering panoramic Pacific views, ocean-view balcony rooms, rooftop dining and cocktails at Birdseye, and a 24/7 convenience market on site.
Despite a stunning property and a prime location in one of Southern California’s most sought-after destinations, Cormorant lacked the digital infrastructure needed to compete with larger hotel brands and drive consistent direct bookings.

The objective was comprehensive: design a high-performing website that captured the hotel’s boutique character, grow organic search visibility for high-intent La Jolla travel searches, build a compelling social media brand across every major platform, and launch targeted paid advertising campaigns to drive direct reservations—reducing dependence on OTAs and third-party booking fees.
