CLIENT
GoGetter is a dating app built for people who share a similar drive and are looking for an actual relationship, not another swipe-everything app. Its positioning line is direct: "Connect with singles who appreciate your drive." For a dating app, the hardest launch problem isn't awareness, it's proof. Nobody wants to be on an empty app, so the first users through the door have to see real people already there.
PARTNERSHIP
Formula Marketing partnered with GoGetter on its launch across four fronts: a grand opening event, a street-level activation at a local marathon, a social event with one of San Diego's top steakhouses, and ongoing website, SEO, and product feedback support. The throughline across all of it: get real people in front of the app, in person, before asking them to trust it on their phone.
WORK
Formula Marketing ran GoGetter's launch across an event, the street, a partner venue, the product itself, and search.Marathon Race Activation Positioned GoGetter at a local marathon, reaching runners and spectators who fit the app's own audience, people who are driven, goal-oriented, and training for something, the exact kind of "drive" the app's tagline is built around. Supported the activation with pamphlets, sidewalk graphics along the route, and brochures handed out on-site.
Key initiatives included:
Steakhouse Social Event
Partnered with one of San Diego's top steakhouses to host a single social event built around GoGetter's audience, pairing the app's upscale, serious-about-dating positioning with a venue that matched it, and putting prospective users in the same room instead of just on the same app.
Website & SEO Support
Built every creator brief around the same five moments: discover a nearby merchant, link a card, buy normally, show the earned value, return and redeem it. A demonstration, not a description, is what makes a rewards app instantly understandable to a student watching on their phone. Ongoing website support and SEO keyword work aimed at the searches GoGetter's actual audience makes, dating with real intention, not generic swipe-app terms.
Product & UX Feedback Loop
Acted as the line between user-facing marketing and the product itself, surfacing what real users and prospects were asking for and pushing it back to GoGetter's app team as concrete feature and usability changes, closing the loop between marketing and the app experience.
RESULTS
Formula Marketing handled GoGetter's launch from every angle, in one place: the grand opening, the marathon activation, the steakhouse social event, the website and SEO, and the product feedback loop that turned user reactions into real app changes. One team, the full launch, starts to finish.
